Biography:
The band started in 2009 and played its way to their debut self-released ‘People & Bricks’ LP (thebarbaronesbg.bandcamp.com/album/people-bricks ) in 2011 (released on 19.11.2011) and digitally distributed worldwide by Amadea Records (www.amadearecords.com). The band released new material in 2012 with their ‘The Final Word / Jumping over the Tracks’ EP (thebarbaronesbg.bandcamp.com/album/the-final-word-jumping-over-the-tracks-ep )(released on 01.09.2012) and make claims for a new album in 2013.
Over the years the group has gained a certain audience and has made a name in the underground music culture in Bulgaria opening up for big international artists as Handsome Furs (Canada, label: Subpop) (www.handsomefurs.com ), Repetitor (Serbia, label: Moonlee records) (repetitor.bandcamp.com ), Monozid (Germany) (www.monozid.com ) as well as a major summer festival in Bulgaria - ELEVATION Festival 2012 (www.elevation.bg ), playing along with names such as Kosheen, Chambao, Cypress Hill, Fatboy Slim, Erykah Badu and others.
